GSPL bought back the 3MW facility at Lake Cargelligo, NSW, from Graphite Energy Pty Ltd on 1st September, 2016.
Completed in 2009, this plant was the first built by Lloyd Energy Systems (now GSPL) using the GSP Technology. It was later sold to Graphite Energy who used it as an R&D site.
GSPL proposes to use the site for the development of a hybrid plant consisting of 3MW of its concentrated solar power (CSP) technology and 5MW of photovoltaics.
Chairman of GSPL, Lyall McLachlan, says “hybrid plants consisting of CSP technology and PV or wind will form a big part of our future. The Lake Cargelligo plant will be a combination of the two most efficient and economical generation systems with storage available in the world.”
GSPL is replacing the existing CSP plant at Lake Cargelligo with its new generation solar thermal receivers and toroidal heliostats.

some of these are experimental - not failed at all.
the solar centre at Mayfield, Newcastle is a CSIRO facility. They also installed an experimental wind generator on Kooragang Is. that hardly ever worked. they dismantled it in 2002 I think.
And what's with the industrial site at Cooma?
And the Jemmalong facility is functional and productive.... nothing failed here

perhaps you should have read and maybe done a bit more research yourself - you actually picked up some stuff I wasn't aware of, like the White Cliffs experimental project. Highly important historical development back then. cutting edge.
