I agree with you kacy that the internal combustion engines time is passing though I doubt it will happen quickly. There are so many cars in the world now that to replace them all will take ages. Especially once they are perceived to be
uncool relics and their value drops enormously(as happened in the 70s during the oil crisis and you could buy V8s for almost nothing,they were cheap motoring if you didn't do too many k's)The price of petrol may drop alot as well if demand drops quickly,but in the end I think that an EV future is a sure thing.
As an example, my 8yo Falcon ute is not worth much and costs me $50wk to run
Were I to bin it for an EV @ $30000, well that's a lot of fuel, as much a I would want one.Many people would be in the same position.
It doesn't matter much to us holders I think as the demand for lithium is going to rise.
