re: property about to collapse (not the markets) Why is it that land is whats pretty much doubled in price over the last 5 years. Surely if people are reverting to European style living ie apartments and the average size of land a person/family lives is falling, this should be reflected in land prices eventuially. But land values keep going up.
You can fit around a million people in a fairly small area by shoving them in units. Imagine how many people Australia could fit if it went this way. All these fools spending $150K (or more) on 500m blocks miles out of the city are going to be sorry
I should add we've just moved from a unit to a house.
