Disagree to an extent (though I would say talk of the rise of the right - or the left - is always overblown, especially when applied globally). Opinion polls and state elections in the US show Biden on the slide. China not even worth mentioning as it's a one party state ruled with an iron fist. Germany and Japan rarely swerve far from the centre (in recent decades of course!) But look at France - it has seen the recent surge of a figure who is even further to the right than Le Pen.
