world population could be 11 billion by 2100, page-2

Is 11 bil a bad thing necessarily? Humans are still nothing but flyspecks on the planet anyhow.

I remember years ago when the much discredited but still employed(why?)Paul Erhlich made is ridiculous predictions in "The Population Bomb", saying that mass famine was just around the corner. There was also a Club of Rome document in the mid 70's predicting the immanent depletion of oil, iron, nickel blah blah.All BS it turned out but enabled a few to frighten the many. I don't see why this latest UN report will be any different, they got it wrong not so long ago and are now correcting their mistake, they will probably have to do that again and again and again etc.
