Generalisation based on the rational Norwegian's may not be helpful. They may be wise, but Trump is a moron, so he will want more oil if he has to dig it with a shovel, and the USA is dominant still.
The thing is that FAR's Oil is a growth resource economics - most of the ecological economic modelling of solar & wind says that the economic resource system will no-longer be a growth system with renewables, and we see the end of resource-capitalism. Capital then needs to find a new non-resource based growth niche.
