You would assume that EMC would have the capability to scale their systems. I assume most of their products are based around off the shelf components so scaling up to meet a much larger production size shouldn't be too hard. What goes against them is their experience - why go with a company who deals with smaller stuff when you would have big companies around that would have done it before.

It would be great if EMC were submitting proposals to undertake this sort of work. Even bidding as sub consultants to lyon group etc. would show their capability.
