If you click through to the link it’s a story on how the founder of Pure Lithium in the US - Emilie Bodain reckons lithium batteries will become as obsolete in the future as ribbon cassette decks.
““Today’s lithium-ion batteries can’t meet the world’s energy demands and were never meant to – they were really invented for a handheld Sony camcorder with just 100 Wh per kilogram in it,” she said yesterday.
Pure Lithium has accordingly changed tack on ‘pure’ and has been trying to come up with a superior battery that still contains lithium but not only, and has now decided a vanadium/lithium combo is the way to go.
It wants to set up license deals one day with VFB producers.
- Apparently it’s so excited about the future Pure Lithium even considered buying a lithium mine .
……… Maybe it will choose an un-permitted vanadium project instead?
I think AVL needs to release some news one way or the other on the problem that is taking the environmental appeals issue so long to be dealt with.
