laying birds eat approx 120g/day. Laying anything from 9.5 eggs every 10 days in peak production to a low of 7/10 days when they get near the end of their production. They dont lay until 16/17 weeks of age and even then the egg size is not marketable. Do you also consider the feed consumed by the hens and roosters needed to lay the egg to get the baby chicks?
Average egg weight at a guess is about 61g. Hope that helps you work it all out.
