It will be a 'tall order' to expect the opposition to win control of government at the next election.
Najib's focus is on regaining the 75% control that allows him wider powers so at worst in my opinion Najib may fall below the targeted 75% mandate in the coming election but would still be in power. And remember it is a coalition government of malays, chinese and indians so opposition is fragmented racially & geographically and does not control absolutely any of the racial groupings.
What Najib then does with that power during the next parliament will decide the future of his party & opposition chances of winning - the electorate will certainly be watching him closely but I doubt they will throw him out now when the opposition has no track record and is so fragmented.
It will be a 'tall order' to expect the opposition to win...
