Lately I have been catching up on my quota of silliness -
and I read all sorts of things before bed-time - last time I looked, my stack of books on my extended bedside table was 1 1/2 ft high - and toppling. the other night I looked for a book on medieval armour and remembered I had given it to the little boy next door . . . . as it was more of a story book with child-like drawings in it, but re-found a book on Velasquez - the 'painter's painter' and marvellous he is, indeed.
It's kismet in the end - what God - the fates - those silly old women - the Morae, the Greeks thought were presiding over our lives (Clotho, the spinner, Lachesis, the measurer and Atropos the cutter) have decided - maybe our Japanese Grandma had a boring life
