Your points are valid and in partcular around the point that Banks dont endorse the investments.
I would put to you this scenario.
An investor walks into a Great Southern office and says "I would like to buy some trees and also take up your finance offer"?
Great Southern happily receive the completed forms for both the finance application and the purchase of the trees.
They take the $50,000 and dont plant trees with it and eventually go under.
The loan - where the documents make no mention of BEN is alleged to be assigned to BEN whom call weekly for repayments, blacklist the investor and then call his wife and threaten bankrupcy.
Meanwhile, the investor takes legal advice that as BEN was not a party to the contract, has no right to recover the loan and gets the question to court.
Forgive me for defending my position appropriately through the courts and pardon me for asking a bank to prove to me that I owe them this money.
Remembering I havent EVER had dealings with them
