"The Directors of GoldLink GrowthPlus Limited (the Company) advise that a sub-committee of the Board has been established to consider the strategic issues facing the Company, following the fall in the value of the investment portfolio and the Net Tangible Asset backing (NTA) of the Company’s shares. The sub-committee, comprising the non-executive Directors, will also consider issues such as the market liquidity of the Company’s securities.
The Directors note that the volatility of the monthly NTA is far greater than was originally envisaged when the Company began the investment strategy in August 2005. The long term accrual of value in the investment portfolio is working as designed by the Manager, GoldLink Capital Asset Management Ltd (the Manager). Movements in some of the underlying pricing variables, such as gold price option volatility, have lowered portfolio value and resulted in bigger swings in the NTA.
The Manager has advised Directors that it is implementing an ongoing program of measures aimed at restoring portfolio value, reducing the risk to capital and mitigating the volatility of the NTA
