    I couldn't help but notice this article regarding some worrying developments in Cameroon. I acknowledge its in the Northern region but it signifies a determination by Boko Haram to extend the caliphate into Cameroon. Who can say what progress these people will make over the next year or two!

    A suicide bombing in northern Cameroon has killed at least 19 people, a local commander says, three days after twin bombings there by suspected Boko Haram militants.
    What is Boko Haram?



    • Boko Haram, which means "Western education is sinful", is loosely modelled on the Taliban movement in Afghanistan.
    • The group considers all who do not follow its strict ideology as infidels, whether they are Christian or Muslim.
    • It demands the adoption of Sharia law in all of Nigeria.

    Residents said the bomber, identified by state television as a teenage girl, struck a busy bar in the Pont Vert neighbourhood of Maroua.
    Military and emergency services pored over the scene in search of survivors.
    A senior military officer in Maroua told reporters apart from the 19 people killed, 62 others were injured in the attack.
    One resident said it appeared the death toll could be as high as 30 as the bar had been crowded at the time, but there was no official confirmation of that.
    Twin suicide bombings on Wednesday killed at least 13 people and wounded 32 others in what appeared to be Boko Haram's deepest incursion from neighbouring Nigeria.
    No-one has claimed responsibility for either Wednesday's or the latest strikes.
