Can MGC Be Salvaged...Or Is It Too Late?
This is the Q$64...
Arguments abound that because the MGC Business Model is stuffed, and with 22% to 23% devastation in milk supply in FY16-17, that the financials do not-and worse still cannot-add up.
In next 6 months, expect to see up to 4 major factories shut their doors; further major losses in suppliers and milk supply; increasing personal and business debt to those "loyal" to MGC under the Clawback Scheme; massive unemployment in dairy regions; continuation of the lowest farm gate milk prices...to name a few side affects!
To a large extent, MGC's situation is a case of "last dairy farmer standing."
In my lifetime I've seen bigger Aussie Icons go bust.
So too, have many of MGC's dairy farmers!
Very sad...but MGC had its chance to augment positive change 12 months ago...but blew it.

USC75 that is BS. MG still has 1.1 billion litres of supply more than nearest competitor. There will be 2 closures in Vic, Rochester Kiewa, and one in Tas.
