This could get really interesting if someone pulls the trigger and makes a bid.
Saputo, Fonterra, Parmalat, A2M, Goodman Fielder, BGA - all will take a look.
A bidding war would be great, like WCB a few years ago, but another possible outcome is that a few of those cpy's mentioned get together and break up MGC for the bits that they want.
Another issue is that MGC unitholders have no voting power. It's up to the board to make the best decisions and history would suggest they are in-capable of doing that.
Its a punt, but I prepared to flip the coin.
