Let me think, I can go back as far as the dialup days with microplex, other than going bust, they had that system where you buy in 10 hour online blocks, that was annoying but in modern times, I would have to say Optus (although they were generous in giving me the 100mb/s speed pack for free, the internet always dropped out for days or at times where I had to upload a uni assignment by a particular time, heaven forbid if I had an online exam!

Obviously, my best has been Aussie BB, I only can recall 2 scheduled maintenance and they told me 2 weeks in advance the approx time and exact date and duration which never exceeded 15 minutes. Also setting up my IP router would have been otherwise complicated and impossible for me but the gentleman over the phone really explained it to me in plain English and I felt so accomplished after the phone call.
