I think your comparison of FMG to BHP is flawed.
I seriously agree, its ridiculous.
I think its amazing, - to even mention the two companies in the same sentence.
Ten years ago BHP was doing what BHP does, a huge diversified company. FMG was a penny dreadful, a laughing stock, a subject for derision by all and sundry. But if you had put money in to both companies then, FMG would have made you an absolute fortune, while BHP would have returned you a few percent.
You could now retire comfortably, and watch the action from your yacht in the Mediterranean.
