ydney - Monday - June 30: (RWE Aust Business News) - Westgold Resources Ltd (ASX:WGR) has announced that assay results for a further two holes, WGR1D002-01 and WGR1D002-02 have been received and define further significant high-grade gold mineralisation both up dip and down dip from the previously reported high grade gold mineralisation at Rover 1. Drill hole WGR1D002-01 intersected the high-grade gold mineralisation approximately 35m down dip and WGR1D002-02 intersected the zone approximately 40m up dip from the previously reported intersection in WGR1D002 of 65.75m @ 11.0g/t Au. Overall, the drilling located on section 359500mE defines a steep to vertical dipping magnetite and hematite rich ironstone body within a strong envelope of chlorite altered sediments. All three holes display similar geological features and strong overprinting Au-Cu-Co-Bi-Ag vein related mineralisation. Gold intersects include: * WGR1D002-01 66m @ 4.26g/t Au, 0.56pc Cu, 0.08pc Co, 0.20pc Bi and 2.1g/t Ag from 489m (66m @ 10.7g/t Au equivalent); and * WGR1D002-02 49m @ 5.8g/t Au, 1.05pc Cu, 0.10pc Co, 0.42pc Bi and 0.9g/t Ag from 477m (49m @ 16.6g/t Au equivalent)
