Would've thought the longer term of the trial (12 months and longer) offsets the smaller sample size to some extent. The trial may be of assistance to the scientists trying to understand what's happening in the brain, but from my layman's perspective I just want it to be safe and to improve cognition/executive function. If I've been popping PBT2 daily for more than a year I'd like it to reduce the effects of AD.
Even if the trial had demonstrated a change in the brain relative to placebo, the share price would've still fallen as the cognitive/executive function benefit is still in doubt. People will say the trial wasn't targeted at cognition/executive function but until that is proven your on the road to nowhere.
