    The 12% illudes to dry wells, i.e. dusters and the 49% refers to wells that find commercial quality/quantities of oil/gas...

    I guess from this you can work out that 37% (49%-12%) of wells drilled in 2006 found oil/gas but were not viable for production...

    This is the scenario we have to fear most at this stage...
