good to see you are still trying to find a system better then Quiktraks and you cannot.
lets analyse this unit.
1....It is GSM or Mobile Phone based.........and we know the limitations of Mobile Phones.......will NOT work underground etc.
The Quiktrak system is proprietary and does NOT depend on any telephony network.
2.....They say there are no monitoring fees.......true but how much does a phone calll cost?
and lets look at frequency.
would you want to know your car is stolen......1hour,2 hours,4 hours,24 hours after it is stolen?
lets work on a phone call every hour........24 calls a day or 50c x 24.......$12 per day or if you like......$360 PER MONTH
Quiktraks is $30 per month.
so Quiktrak is cheaper for 24 hour/7 days per week monitoring.
3.....Since its "self monitroing".......and you are in Sydney when your car is stolen from your home at Newport.
How do you know where it is unless you can get to a PC with your programme.
The Quiktrak system uses a grade 1 base station where staff watch for this 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
4.....and this system uses "vibration" to alert it.
Great........the local hoods rock the car and sets off a false alarm.
It was worth the read.....but NOT worth anything.
The Quiktrak system remains superior and is covered by patents and has established customers and contracts.
