This sort of deal over copper using ADSL2 is a fine illustration of why the copper network is worth alot more to Telstra (and fellow ADSL2 providers) as a going concern than it is to the NBN who would effectively junk it.
I wonder if/when the NBN will be spoken of in the same terms as Grocery Watch, Petrol Price Watch, One Laptop for every Child, etc etc - let alone the School Hall fiasco, the junking of our Climate Change response, and headlines in the Age today "Rudd flip flops over Big Australia policy etc etc
