    A few reasons why TLS is on a downward trend.

    1. Losing market share in fixed lines and broadband.
    2. Losing profit from fixed line calls with voip getting more and more popular.
    3. Losing profit margins from existing sales due to strong domestic competition.
    4. Facing strong wireless competition from VHA and Optus.
    5. Falling media profits due to piracy.
    6. Uncompetitive in advertising sector. Trading post, yellow pages... I have not used those for a long long time.
    7. Strong uncertainly from government interference and upcoming NBN.


    Why TLS might be good in the short term.

    1. Very high dividend, if net profit can be maintained, SP will increase slightly and profit from dividend.
    2. On going negotiations in selling copper network, could be sold for a very good price.
