Oaklands North EL 6861 (Coalworks Limited 100%)
Oaklands environmental baseline investigations have continued with ongoing ground water
monitoring. CTL (coal to liquids) pre-feasibility study investigations are also continuing.
The CTL study initially envisaged a 7,000 barrels of petrol per day operation at Oaklands, which
would equate to about 2% of Australian petrol consumption, however, larger scale operation
options have been evaluated as part of the study and it is likely that a base case will be higher
than 7,000 barrels per day.
The consultants are nearing the end of this study, which will complete a major milestone in
developing Oaklands North into a world class project.
