As a PhD I believe that a qualification is completely irrelevant as to whether one is doing research or not. And John is surely doing valid research.He has been ferreting out facts unknown to most of us and has been good enough to share them with us. On top of that he has advanced some views which may well be vindicated by forthcoming drilling.
Keep at it John, you have been doing a great job.
