gcfalconer, I suspect their CEO, Bernie Brooks is a very capable operator having come from a Woolworths background. I just hope middle & lower management know how to execute at the store level. I am sure Mr Brooks just as the Operations Manager I spoke to today would be disappointed with this behaviour at the grassroots level. But until senior management get the message through to middle & lower management, the floor walkers aren't receiving the guidance even they know should be happening. Older retail staff understand good dispays & customer service, it is this middle band of "supervisors" who are just too clever they don't need to check & do the obvious. Perhaps, dismissing a few might get the message across they need to lead & perform. Regards Buffett PS: Hope someone senior in Myer reads this thread & takes some action before it is too late!
