Some years ago, a very smart Italian (a Roman), sold the fountain of Trevi in Rome to an American billionaire that wanted to move it back to his property in the USA, for many millions of dollars.
The only thing was though, that when the cranes and backhoes moved to the square to remove the fountain, well...you know what happened next.
