Was anyone watching the closeout auction on WMT? Those computerized algo trading bots were playing silly buggers like it was going out of fashion!

Jiggling the closing price up and down, WAY quicker than any individual real person could do it, putting bids on and pulling them off, juggling the numbers on the bids and offers, sometimes by a share or two, just enough to tip the balance back and forth, up and down by half a cent at a time on the match price.

And the ones who wanted it DOWN by a cent at the end of the day won the auction - literally right at the last second. Their sniping software was just that bit better than the other lot.

What a load of cobblers.!! Of course, all the portfolio values of those who hold WMT will be valued at the closing price, not the VWAP where it's been trading all day.

Still, just goes to show that old playing field is far from level, and there's no way we can beat them - just have to join 'em!
