AWB gets 21% of its income from the single desk and has to pay $102 million interest on a $5 billion loan.
If you take out the single desk what do you think the earnings per share be for that year?
I estimate 8 cents.
If that is the case AWB is trading on a PE of 48.5
Further without the single desk its of paying off that $5 billion debt are not very good.
Check out these figures based on the '05 financial report.
Debt $5156,545,000
Interest $102,651,000
Revenue $4,703,399,000
Profit before tax and interest
(5.1% of Revenue) $143,271,000
Profit - Interest $40,620,000
Profit after interest and tax (30%)
$28,434,000
No of shares: 344 million
EPS .08
