The cost of buying a house is skyrocketing (Aus 2nd most expensive in the developed world). Cost of rent is skyrocketing, cost of fuel, groceries, energy etc etc skyrocketing. Your solution is that we should not pay the peasants more?
During the pandemic the wealthy gained an enormous chunk of the shared financial pie. The wealthiest continue to take more and more of the pie away from the middle class and lower class year on year.
A wage rise would mean that they would have to shell out a tiny fraction of their profits back to the peasants which they can easily afford.
