if ANZ were to be selling down now, you would have to say they are very ordinary. Very ordinary in that well run groups wuld have been selling from day 1, rather than waiting to try and make a buck!
I'm not so sure whether it is in fact them selling. If it were, the only reason would be because buyers they may have had lined up got cold feet (could it have been due to the stanwell deal?).
Why don't they just do something with the stock now, or at least in form the market?
Possibly look at a placement offer to existing shareholders as a start.
