No takeover not possible unless the government want to send their own country into a recession. By approving Japan takeover would make them look racist and piss off their biggest customer. With Japan increasingly showing disrespect to China and the president going to the shrine to honour the war dead has not done to ease the tensions.
As the tension rise between China nad Japan over the Diaoyu island Australia will not destroy diplomatic relations with China by doing that
