Even without the numbers it is simple to see that management only benefit if they are able to pick up some of the shortfall somehow (much like the expiring 2011 option allocation), and everyone else at best maintain their holdings by participating.

Perhaps there is an off-take partner interested in the patch and they are trying to speed it up (best case scenario?) ...though not really interested in trying to be a company apologist when the details are absent.
