There is a poster on the other thread named Arvet that has got it exactly right I reckon, he is thinking exactly what I have been, there is no way that this assure fast holdings is owned by some redneck fromk the Phillipines, because I don't believe either the US or Oz would vet it for a start, but aloso worth remembering is that Harmony could have walked before this and got all the IP for not one cent more, you need to consider that metalstorm went ahead with this as well, yeah ok they really had no other option, but as Lee says he is trying to get the best deal for shareholder, and one of the biggest of them is Mike Odwyer himself, and yes he is selling a few, but he hasn't exactly dumped the whole lot at once in a fire sale, he aslo said he was selling well before any of this started, and I also believe he has his own reasons for needing the cash.

There is absolutely no way that the US would allow mach 5/50 IP to end up in foreign hands, that would go directly against what they have been saying for years, the technology is considered a secret and metalstorm can't even talk about it?

When you consider that the US has been the biggest investor of all in metalstorm and I'm not just talking about this few million extra they are about to supply under covertly under another name, so I guess we can't really complain about them having half of the company really anyway, and I reckon they are saying "we will use the technology when it is ready and fully tested" I say this because I believe they saw some sales happening earlier perhaps and to a country they had no control over as far as weapons go!

Here is what part of what Arvet said.
IMO there are dots to be connected in the case of Mr. Rivero and his company. In the U.S. and I expect in Australia a company in a business such as that of MST, which will rely almost totally on sponsorship from one or both of those nations, operational control cannot be handed off willy-nilly to just anyone who has enough cash. If MSTis to be put under a newly introduced player, the player will have to be vetted by the sponsoring country/ies. If not--if they didn't approve--but MST went ahead regardless it would go toes up in no time at all.
    and this
But here we have some cat from the Philippines and a firm based in the BVI. No way, I say. If the man and his firm are not a front for one of our two governments I think the deal will never go through. I don't think of our weaponry as being "black" enought to warrant all that, but several of you old-timers here have often brought up the cone of silence that seems to have surrounded the 5/50 (is that the term?) project. Perhaps that's the key to this.

Yes Arvet that is the key and always was IMHO, and it is the sole reason I ever invested in metalstorm in the first place!
