BHP became involed by due diligence, research and the likelihood of success.
In 2006 they provided funding for a research agreement. APG has fulfilled their obligation by PROVING that it works. Timeframes are all over the place but the essence is that it works. BHP is still the largest shareholder. Maybe they might grizzle about the shareprice too. Doubt it though it's a drop in a galaxy not even an ocean for them.
So truely the only thing at the moment is the lack of info, I believe this is due to complacency. If things were going badly you wouldn't be able to shut up the amount of spin that would be issuing forth.
