40 failed to get into the police 3 times in pommyland. looking back it was one of the best things that ever happened to 40. for 2 interviews 40 found them biased politically and too incompetent for words, in 40's opinion anyway. the 3rd interview was 'specialy arranged' and the whole thing was dealt with very well but 40 got told very nicely that he was too independent to be a copper !
so it turned out to be too.
was 35 yrs plus ago now.
40 has little or no respect for the police anymore. same group as pollies and the like. the mr plods of today takes our dough (too many simple fines just for the taxman) and with little or no feelings to who or what we are. we are all grouped. so they be too.
