HAPPY KIDS AND PETS,

Our little dog has cancer so she is being spoiled rotten. Fatty meat? Who cares. Her last Xmas so she has had her share of the ham.

But the No 1 son surprised us. He left the nest 30 years ago and never really settled since. He did not appear to have any attraction to home. A few years ago a lady he knew was lamenting that she hated Xmas and the family fights so No 1 invited her to our place: Never any fights, just a peaceful, friendly atmosphere with good food and a drink for the thirsty. She didn't take up the offer but No 1 knew she was welcome.

I was pleasantly surprised. Never thought he'd noticed. Kids DO take things for granted, especially mine.
