Sad sack day on the market. GDO probably not being singled out but IMO running entirely opposite to how one might have imagined. Such is life.
If you were CEO of GDO and had been indicating continuing discussions with a potential suitor for a little while, would you:
(a) look for clarity of a message to your shareholders at the AGM (scheduled for close of business 4 trading days hence);
(b) look to bed down the transaction (albeit HOA) before that AGM (assuming that a 3 day TH is appropriate);
(c) be comfortable with an AGM during a 3 (assume 3 days required, certainly typical) day TH ; or
(d) take the issue to your AGM with a position of 'No comment'?
Odd position don't you think!
