This year GSK acquired Bellus Health for US$2 billion. Bellus Health had 1 drug, Camlipixant which is currently in phase 3; cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments totalling US$313 million. Jefferies analysts estimated camlipixant could generate peak U.S. sales of $1.2 billion. GSK’s chief commercial officer, told a media briefing “We expect to continue doing deals like this."
