Conservatives don't like confrontation and street protests. That doesn't mean the thousands that turned up today represent the total of those who do not want this tax dictated on them without getting the people's permission first.
If Gillard would do the honourable thing and put it to the people first AND won the next election, many of us wouldn't like it, but would accept it was democratically voted instead of it being enforced in a most undemocratic manner on the basis of a lie, IMO.
