I do. Go visit the Black Saturday bushfire areas and find the unemployed, for one thing.

Even people with triple degrees can't get jobs. Because they are trying to hold body and soul together.

everyone thinks all their traumas ended on December 31st 2010. As Brumby, in his insensitivity, told the world it would take 2 years for people to get back to normal.
Sadly, when the clock struck 12.01am on January 1st 2011, people were just as displaced, despairing, unhoused, living in caravans and sheds and shipping containers, and
many were still battling clinical depression, and some had suicided - and will still suicide.

People on these forums should stop being so flippant about other people's suffering. Other people's struggles. And other people's opinions!

What a stuod headline this thread has anyway! Yesterdays protest was NOT organised by Tony Abbott or the liberal Party. It all came to fruition after a telephone call to talk back radio by a listener - 2GB or MTR (not sure which), and the radio station then took up the idea, an gave it the publicity which made it such a success yesterday.

At least Abbott had the guts to come out and speak. Labor pollies just hid and slunk around under cover of their Parliament House cocoon, and called Grannies "extremists" and "dinosaurs."

And as for the poster - Abbott did not know it was there - it was sneaked up behind him after he came up to speak. Maybe by Get Up - just to try and discredit him and the other speakers! And even so - doesn't it tell the truth!!!

Brown pulls the strings - and Gillard dances to his tune.
She has to - or else.

As for the crowd - there was a mixed demographic ages wise - and all these people had paid to ge there, unlike Get Up pro-Labor ites, who, no doubt, WERE bussed in for naught.

At least this crowd had the courage of their convictions -
and it was a marvelous thing to see!
