I expect that in two years time DOW shareholders will rue the day of this takeover. SPO is a mirage IMO and will crumble in DOW managements hands. I suspect SPO is making about 4 cps underlying npat ATM, that assumes the debt remains unchanged. They are paying a $2b EV for what I expect will provide $103m EBIT roughly, so about 19x my very rough EBIT. They will need those synergies indeed.
