The price and performance points that Tesla is going to hit will make it almost impossible for anyone else to compete unless they also become vertically integrated and develop a ground up/top down business. Little companies like Novonix are not going to work in the new paradigm, that is my take out. The Novonix expertise needs to be brought in house alongside the battery development teams inside VW, for instance, Everything is going to be about scale, manufacturing simplicity and driving input costs down to wafer thin margins for suppliers. only the biggest and strongest will survive and all the little fish will be eaten alive.
That's where we are headed folks. And its going to happen really fast. Companies can't afford to sit around watching while Tesla becomes a 3tWh behemoth within ten years. They have a very tiny window left in which to survive if they move quickly enough.
