As I'm writing WOW is up 23.5 cents today to $38.915, which seems a little counter-intuitive given that at 1400 hours or around then this afternoon, the Victorian Premier may announce that larger department stores such as Big W will have to close for up to 5.5 weeks (given curfew and 5km travel restriction is for six weeks and started last night).
Perhaps the market knows this won't happen, or is merely pricing in WOW results plus how in Victoria there's been panic buying increasing sales, and the curfew means some smaller competitors may not be allowed to open?
There's some strike on at a WOW liquor distribution centre in Laverton North, Victoria due to an employee contracting the virus. That's not good news.
