Fodder, I think that you have hit the nail on the head. I wonder if the enlarged group will eventually become a target supposing that no bidder for Sun emerges to put a spoke in the wheels of this deal over the next few days? One gets the feeling that this is just the start of something far larger that could eventually become a vehicle to threaten the domination of the big banks and they don't like admitting new boys to their cosy club.
Unfortuniately I can't see any way of making money out of the situation in the short term barring a short on PMN if someone bids for SUN.
