WOW not maximising pre-Christmas sales, page-14

Very funny re my 'brother in law': I am but a mere TGR shareholder. As explained above, a relative has WOW shares.

Some WOW outlets are selling the prawns also in small plastic wrapped packs in 500g size. I've not seen these but someone else posted a photo on the TGR 'HC' forum.

For your info, TGR paid WOW for about five weeks (not two) to have the two kilogram boxes on special. You're correct that not all WOW stores have the same freezer space, but even so, at store level some managers did a very poor job hiding this 'special' out the back in a freezer not accessible to shoppers.

Granted also that prawns are a seasonal line: big especially during summer, and especially pre-Christmas. However supermarkets including WOW have their staff do 'realys' often where the position and placement of various SKUs is altered to account for promotions ('specials'), seasonal changes and individual arrangements with suppliers, plus changes in what shoppers are perceived to want.

Your suggestion to sell the TGR uncooked prawns in a smaller size has merit and has been agreed by quite a few who contributed to the TGR 'HC' discussion about this subject, so far viewed close to 30000 times.
