Sad for OZ Minerals shareholders. OZ made the overnight raid on SFR for 19.95 per cent but never went ahead with a takeover. I thought this was an unusual move .At one point, I thought OZ might move on CuDeco but ruled that out some time back.

As for whether M@G are exiting, that would not surprise me after their sell down of their CuDeco holding to buy into OZ Minerals--not a smart move with CuDeco coming into production.

M@G did not even consult with CuDeco regarding their sell down of CuDeco shares at ever decreasing prices. Sellers of large holdings can often have a sale organised by the company. OZ Minerals opted not to go down that path with CuDeco and paid the price beggaring up CuDeco's share price in the process.

M@G'S strategy? unfathomable.
