At this time the situation of WOW may leave buyers fearful, however a look back at history could simply reveal that we are currently seeing great value. Refer to the figure and note that the current pullback is almost identical to that of the GFC (major support). At these levels the potential upside looks much better than that of the downside. There are many challenges for Woolies, though there is also a lot which can be done in terms of management and restructuring to get the company back on track. Be greedy when others are fearful.
The point I am making is that Woolies has had some great bull runs over the years. Yes, this could be the commencement of the company's demise, though it may also be a great time to position yourself for the next bull run.
