Noone questions WOW has been good in the past. I have definitely made cap. gains as well as appreciating the nice divs. But that was coming out of a time where Aust. was still a semi closed / protected market duopoly with WOW and Coles (and with Coles continually shooting itself in the foot) and with a few other smaller / weaker competitors who were trying to beat WOW doing essentially the same thing - they had no hope. The penny has dropped at last and we are all questioning WOW in the new environment it is has to survive and prosper in. It has huge pluses but lots of problems to overcome too and we haven't seen any credible plan to get back on track yet and dominate their competitors like they did. Atm they don't have an answer to the cheap business model not to mention the explosive growth of some of their 'new' competitors. I can think of some things I would try if I was WOW but anything they do involves risk and the change needed will not be good for the sp.
